World Tourism Day 2020

Theme: Tourism & Rural Development

We wish you a very Happy World Tourism Day!

The theme for this year seems more appropriate than ever i.e. Tourism & Rural Development – as this is the way forward, in order to have a sustainable & safe tourism! Let it get evenly distributed so that the benefits of tourism also reach to all strata of society.

Tourism has helped bring back the dying rural traditions and & cultural practices. Did you know of wedding of goats taking place in India? This is called ‘Swayamvar’ means where the ‘groom’ chooses the ‘bride’ and vice versa! Sounds funny but true it is! Check out an interesting news link (photo credit Tribune India).
